Despite numerous attempts of GNCC, the Commission was unable to deliver Commission’s №344/23 decision of June 2, 2016 related to launching of public administrative proceedings

In accordance with the decision of GNCC, the authorization sub-type of “Evrika TV-Radio Company” ltd instead of the private-general broadcasting, has been modified into specialized (entertaining/scientific) broadcasting.

On April 27, 2016, the Georgian law has been passed on making changes in the law “on Electronic Communications” (Registration code 320110000.05.001.018102) and in accordance with Article 2 of an above-mentioned law

GNCC, at the session held on June 9th, has approved the request of “StarVizia” Ltd in regard to the expansion of distribution of its digital terrestrial Free-to-Air TV network geographical area.

In accordance with the decision of GNCC, radio frequency spectrum usage term of NF13 license of “Ertsulovneba” Ltd has been extended for the next 10 years.

GNCC has announced contests in the 6 municipalities of Georgia for the issuance of private and community radio broadcasting licenses.

Despite numerous attempts, GNCC was unable to deliver a notice in relation to the place and date of the proceedings in regard to the imposition of administrative responsibility to “Radex” Ltd. Respectively, content of the letter sent to “Radex” Ltd is being officially published at the Commission’s web-site.

GNCC, based on the applications of TV companies “Omega” Ltd, “Stereo +” Ltd and “Saperavi TV” Ltd, has carried out the modifications of their TV broadcasting authorizations.

In accordance with the decision of GNCC, “TV-Radio Company Exclusive TV” Ltd has carried out an authorization for broadcasting.
