GNCC has issued a written warning on “Broadcasting Company Rustavi2” Ltd for the violation of product placement rules in the programs.

The preparatory contest meeting has been held at GNCC that has been announced for the issuance of radio broadcasting licenses at FM 93,1 in the city of Tbilisi, and at FM 97.5 - in the city of Akhaltsikhe.

GNCC has increased tariff caps for the incoming international call termination to Georgia (call setup) for the operators holding significant power and has extended the validity for the next six months. The tariffs to enter into force on February 1, 2016.

GNCC has issued a written warning on an entity authorized to broadcast- “Shoni XXI” Ltd for re-transmitting some broadcasting channels without proper permits and licenses.

In accordance to the decision of December 29, 2015, GNCC has announced a contest in order to select an administrator for subscriber number portability central database.

Submission of applications at GNCC for the contest announced in order to obtain radio broadcasting licenses in Tbilisi at FM 93,1 and in Akhaltsikhe at FM 97.5 – has ended.

GNCC has reviewed a complaint submitted by the NNLE “Solidarity Fund of Georgia” against “Imedi TV” Ltd and has assigned the company to broadcast social advertising that has been prepared by the fund.

GNCC, in accordance with the amendments made in the Georgian law “on Broadcasting” on June 17, 2015, has carried out the modification of 74 radio broadcasting licenses.

GNCC, based on a request submitted by NNLP “Non-Commercial Media-Union Obieqtivi,” has amended company’s authorization certificate.

GNCC has imposed sanctions on several authorized entities due to the failure to submit regulation fee calculations and forms of statistical reports.
