More Than 100 Training Sessions and Over 1,600 Beneficiaries Trained – ComCom Completes the Digital Support Programme in Martvili
The Communications Commission has completed the Digital Support Programme in the Municipality of Martvili, delivering 104 training sessions and providing training to 1,650 local beneficiaries. As part of the programme, certified training courses were offered free of charge to local residents in the target communities on the following topics: Digital Literacy and Safe Internet Use, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy, and Internet for Employment.
The programme covered 29 target villages in the Municipality of Martvili, including Alerti, Boboti, Chaburta, Dghvana, Didi Chkoni, Doberazeni, Etseri, Lebache, Lekajaie, Lekobale, Lepochkhue, Meore Gurdzemi, Meore Kitsia, Mesame Balda, Najakhavo, Nakhunavo, Noga, Nojikhevi, Oche, Orkha, Patara Inchkhuri, Patara Tamakoni, Patara Zhinota, Saberulavo, Skurdi, Stepasdabali, Targameuli, Tsinakverkve, and Vakha. Participants included school and vocational education teachers, pupils, university students, representatives of the Mayor’s office, municipal council members, administrative staff, kindergarten employees, librarians, persons with disabilities, local entrepreneurs, temporarily unemployed individuals, and other members of the local community.
Through the thematic training sessions, beneficiaries gained practical knowledge on a range of important topics, including searching for information online, using Google applications, making purposeful use of social media platforms, innovative AI tools and their effective application, integrating AI into learning, professional development and employment, using AI as a personal assistant during the job search process, cybersecurity in the age of artificial intelligence, and other related subjects.
The Digital Support Programme, which ComCom has been implementing since 2022, aims to improve the purposeful and safe use of the internet among the people living in rural areas. Participation is free of charge for anyone aged 14 and above residing in the target communities. To date, the Communications Commission has trained more than 14,500 beneficiaries across over 320 villages and settlements in 22 municipalities through the programme.
