Media Academy Holds a Seminar for Journalists in Coverage of Politics, Economy, and Emergency Situations

The Media Academy of the Communications Commission held a two-day seminar for media representatives. The seminar was led by Maka Antidze, who talked to the participants on biographical and practical topics and shared her 25 years of experience working for Reuters. The media representatives learned about the coverage of emergency situations, politics, and economy, as well as interview preparation and recording techniques.
Maka Antidze has been a journalist for 30 years. For the past 25 years, she has worked at the Caucasus Bureau of Reuters as Head of the Bureau and Chief Correspondent. Earlier she was a correspondent for Associated Press.
For two days, participants had the opportunity to learn about the journalistic skills required for preparing news reports and articles. Journalists discussed theoretical and practical examples of story creation, storytelling, journalistic work, and emergency situation coverage. They also discussed what a journalist should remember while working on an article, what qualities a correspondent should have, and how to prepare a quality interview.
