Commercial Revenues of TV and Radio Broadcasters Increase by 64% in Q1 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, the total commercial advertising revenues of TV and radio broadcasters increased by 64% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to GEL 27 million. In the case of television stations alone, the amount received from commercial advertising increased by 72.7% and amounted to GEL 25.6 million.  

The largest share of advertising revenues collected by TV broadcasters in the first quarter of 2026 (87.4%) was generated by direct advertising, 7.6% by product placement, and 4.9% by sponsorship. Notices and teleshopping accounted for 0.03% and 0.01% of the revenues respectively. 

In the case of radio broadcasters alone, advertising revenue in the first quarter of 2026 decreased by 15% compared to the same period in 2025 and amounted to GEL 1.4 million, of which 90.2% was generated by direct advertising, 9.1% by sponsorship, and 0.6% by notices.  

Commercial advertising revenue includes commercial advertising, sponsorship, product placement, teleshopping, and commercial notices.
