ComCom Trains Library Employees in Tskaltubo in Searching for Information and Internet Use

As part of the Digital Support Programme, the Communications Commission trained the Library Union employees at the Culture Centre of the Municipality of Tskaltubo in digital literacy and safe use of the internet. During the meeting, beneficiaries learned about important issues concerning the search for information online, the use Google apps and social media platforms, and safe navigation of the digital space. 

The programme will continue in Tskaltubo until the end of March. As of now, over 500 people have already been trained across the municipality. The target settlements of the programme are the town of Tskaltubo and the villages of Chuneshi, Tskhunkuri, Kumistavi, Kvilishori, Zarati, Opurchkheti, Zhoneti, Rioni, Sormoni and Ukaneti. Residents of these villages can attend the seminar free of charge, improve their digital capabilities, and obtain a certificate. The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
