Ekaterine Imedadze highlighted Georgia’s potential as a regional connectivity hub and emphasised the importance of developing modern digital infrastructure and diversifying international connectivity links in this regard. She noted that, in this context, specific AI models and practical examples of their application, including in the electronic communications sector, are particularly relevant.

Ms. Imedadze also emphasised that technological development must be accompanied by the strengthening of the relevant digital skills. In this context, she spoke about the Digital Support Programme, implemented by ComCom within the framework of Log-in Georgia, which aims to develop the population’s digital skills and promote the effective use of digital services. Notably, one of the programme’s new areas focuses on the practical application of artificial intelligence, through which participants learn about the capabilities of AI-powered tools and how to use them in their everyday lives.
