ComCom Launches New Training Modules “AI Literacy” and “Internet for Employment” in Zugdidi
Member of the Communications Commission Natia Kukuladze opened a new training module under the Digital Support Programme in Zugdidi. The session focused on AI literacy, covering useful AI platforms, their practical applications, potential challenges, and cybersecurity in the age of artificial intelligence. Participants included educators from Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University, the public college Zugdidi Academy, and Egrisi College.
Due to high public interest, two new modules in the shape of AI Literacy and Internet for Employment have been added to the Digital Support Programme of the Communications Commission from 2026. The target audience for these modules includes administrative staff, teachers, university students, and high school pupils. So far, six training sessions have been conducted in Ozurgeti and Zugdidi, with 137 participants trained.
Within the framework of the Digital Support Programme, which also includes training on digital literacy and safe internet use, up to 12,000 beneficiaries have been trained across 20 municipalities in 5 regions of Georgia since 2022. In the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, the programme has already been implemented in 6 municipalities and is currently ongoing in Martvili. In total, around 5,000 individuals have been trained in this region.
The Communications Commission has been implementing the Digital Support Program since 2022 in support of the State Internetization Programme. The programme aims to raise digital awareness among the population in selected municipalities and rural areas, promote the purposeful use of the internet, and strengthen their participation in the digital economy.
