ComCom Holds Training on Media Literacy and Digital Risks as Part of GITA Project
Within the framework of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) project Cybersecurity for Youth: A Secure Digital Future, the Communications Commission conducted a training on the subject of “Media Literacy and Digital Risks in the Age of Artificial Intelligence — How to Evaluate Information and Protect Decisions in the Digital Environment.”
As part of the training, ComCom Media Literacy Department representative Vera Prangishvili provided the participants with detailed information on how to properly evaluate information in the digital environment, critically evaluate content generated by artificial intelligence, and identify information threats. The training also included a practical exercise, during which participants applied the strategic model of information verification in the digital environment, adapting it to a real scenario.
The training module will help the startup entrepreneurs correctly and wisely manage their digital experience by developing useful habits, in addition to creating technological products.
The GITA event was held at the Akhmeta Technopark for 10 days. Participants included young people over 15 years of age living in the municipality of Akhmeta, and specifically those interested in innovative and technological entrepreneurship. The main topic of the project was the identification of digital threats and data analysis. Trainings and an ideathon were also held during the meetings. The goal of the project is to develop innovative thinking, as well as cybersecurity and cyber hygiene skills among young people living in the region, and to involve them in the startup ecosystem.
