Georgian National Communications Commission, an independent body, that provides supervision and control of fulfillment of the requirements of the legislation in the broadcasting sector, is carefully monitoring an ongoing process related to the broadcasting company “Rustavi2” Ltd.

GNCC has made a decision in regard to the imposition of administrative responsibility on “Supsa Technocom” Ltd and has sanctioned the company to pay the minimum fine in the amount of 3 000 Gel as envisaged in the law

GNCC has issued a written warning on “Radio One” Ltd for the failure to submit regulation fee calculations and forms of statistical reports

GNCC did not make a final decision in regard to the purchase of operating assets owned by “Caucasus Online” Ltd by “Magticom” Ltd at the session held on November 5.

The chief of Commission’s Radio Frequency Management Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Sergo Shavgulidze was appointed Vice Chairman of International Telecommunication Union’s radio sectors 5th Study Group (ITU-R SG5).
