ComCom Publishes its 2025 Activity Report

The Communications Commission has published its 2025 activity report, which includes a summary of last year's activities, as well as the plans for 2026. The annual report reviews the trends, achievements and challenges of the areas regulated by the Commission, including the telecom and broadcasting sectors. The annual report also includes detailed information on projects implemented across the country to develop media literacy. 

The 2025 activity report covers such important topics as: 5G development in Georgia, monitoring the quality of mobile communication services, internetization and digital literacy, the holistic study of the telecom market, the IP peering and IXP development study, and others. 

The report provides a detailed review of the development trends in the telecom sector and the broadcasting sector in Georgia and across the world. Information is also provided on the contributions of the communications sector to the state budget. 

With regards to broadcasting, the report summarises the steps taken by the Communications Commission to improve the media environment, including the challenges facing the media and the current state of the advertising market. It also presents the results of media monitoring and analysis of paid and free political advertising during the pre-election period. 

The report also includes detailed information on the projects implemented by the Communications Commission across the country to develop media literacy skills among adolescents, parents and teachers, combat fake information, use the internet safely, and develop critical thinking. These include topics such as: integrating media literacy into formal and informal education, media literacy competitions for pupils, students and schools, Media and Information Literacy Week, Digital Support Programme, and others.
