“Storytelling Techniques on Social Media” – Media Academy Hosts another Training Programme for Journalists
The Media Academy of the Georgian National Communications Commission hosted a three-day training programme for 11 journalists on the subject of storytelling on social media. Media representatives worked on creating multimedia products using modern technologies and finding effective ways of placing them on social media platforms. As the media environment is evolving fast, social media is changing every day and new technologies are implemented, it is crucial for media representatives to keep up with the changes and respond to the challenges.
Training included both theoretical and practical components. It was based on specific issues such as creating a reporting strategy and analysing the audience, as well as identifying storytelling methods that achieve high engagement on social media. Participants learned about storytelling in the digital age, as well as the relationship between traditional journalism and new multimedia outlets.
It is important for the media to respond to modern-day challenges to provide the public with information on social media through proper and effective means. To this end, journalists must constantly seek to enhance their knowledge and experience. The three-day training programme hosted by the Media Academy served to enhance the qualifications of 11 participants and deepen their knowledge about modern day challenges and technologies.
