GNCC has issued a written warning on “TV Company Kavkasia” Ltd for violating rules on Copyright and Related Rights.

Following movies have been aired by the TV Company: „Family Man”,  “Everyone says I love you”,   „Fifth Element”,  „Charlie’s Angels“,  „Sherlock Holmes“,  „Pirates of the Caribbean“,  „Devil Wears Prada“,  „Valentine’s Day“,  „Alice in Wonderland“, „Kate and Leopold.“ “TV Company Kavkasia” Ltd was unable to present the documentation certifying the right to air these movies. 

After reviewing the issue at the public session, the Commission has concluded, that “TV Company Kavkasia” Ltd has violated the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, the WIPO Copyright Treaty and the Georgian law “on Broadcasting.”
