Council, consisting of eleven members, has selected „Mediafon Datapro“ Ltd as an administrator for subscriber number portability central database. Three companies were participating in a contest: “Mediafon Datapro” Ltd, “Mediapro Georgia” Ltd and “Portireba.ge” Ltd.

In compliance with terms and conditions of the contest, any legal entity, registered in Georgia or in any other foreign country has a right to participate in the contest, who, has provided administrative services of number portability central database in at least two countries; an annual fee of the service noted shall not exceed 500 000 EUROS; the software must be compatible with systems of current operators.

After opening sealed documentation of contestants by the council members, “Portabeloba.ge Ltd has been eliminated from the contest due to the failure to present complete documentation. Among two contestants, whose documentation was in compliance with contest’s terms and conditions, with the best price (annual fee of 274 899 Euro equivalent in national currency) “Mediafon Datapro” Ltd has been selected as an administrator for subscriber number portability central database, as for “Mediapro Georgia” Ltd, which is a current operating administrator, has presented a fee in the amount of 450 00 Euro equivalent in national currency.

The bidding winner will be announced by GNCC, which will provide all telephone service distributing operators with subscriber number portability services for the next 5 years.

GNCC has announced a contest for the selection of subscriber number portability central database administrator in accordance with the decision of December 29, 2015. The contest council was being staffed with 5 persons employed in the Commission, with 5 representatives from the largest providers: “Magticom”Ltd, “Geocell” Ltd, “Beeline” Ltd, “Silknet” JSC and “Akhali Kselebi” Ltd as well as 1 independent expert.
