The Media Academy of the Communications Commission held a three-day workshop for journalists, titled “How do we conduct Coverage of Business and Economic News?” Media representatives worked with the Governor of the National Bank of Georgia Koba Gvenetadze and economic expert Revaz Sakevarishvili on issues such as the coverage of economic news, capability analysis, as well as the role of business and the economy in our everyday lives. Mr. Gvenetadze talked about the current macroeconomic trends in Georgia. Participants also learned about the functions and objectives of the National Bank.

Due to the important role played by the economy and business in the development of the country, the Media Academy gave journalists the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of topics that are vital to their professional activities. During the course of the workshop, participants learned how to present economic events from different angles and analyse the news.

At the end of the workshop, participants were issued with certificates by the Media Academy.
