The first masterclass for persons interested in journalism has started at the Media Academy, covering topics such as reporting a story, preparing an interview, asking questions, preparing a photo story, as well as working on a filming location or in studio.

This is an exclusive project in Georgian media space for those who are thinking of becoming a journalist or simply curious to find out how media content is created. Free online lectures conducted by professional authors will give participants the opportunity to learn everything related to media in general, creating high-quality media content and working as a journalist.

Playwright Basa Janikashvili, photo reporter Davit Mdzinarishvili and journalists Eka Beridze and Tamta Sanikidze will share their experiences and offer exclusive lecture courses not available elsewhere. Each online course of the masterclass consists of around 10 video lectures that are 10-12 minutes in length.

Teaching is not theory-based. Authors speak from their own experience and give participants an opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes, find out about things that can not be seen on TV in front of the camera and about everything that is crucial for creating high-quality media product.

What is also different about the masterclass is that all interested individuals can access the online lectures regardless of where they live, where they study and what their schedule looks like. This is a user-tailored platform that can be used whenever it is convenient for each individual.
