GNCC has issued a written warning on “TV-Vazi” Ltd – an entity authorized for transit broadcasting due to an illegal re-transmission of few broadcasting channels.

“TV-Vazi” Ltd was re-transmitting following TV channels without proper permits and licenses: ,,TV 8int“, ,,Euro”, ,,Dream turk”, ,,CNN Turk”, ,,HIT”, ,,МИР“, ,,МИР 24“, ,,PBK”, ,,TPO”, ,,Звезда“, ,,НТВ“, ,,inter AZ”, ,,Music Turk”, ,,Dolunay”, ,,Top pop”, ,,Cannal V”, ,,Cannal S”, „Imedi“, ,,GDS“, „Maestro“, ,,Россия 24“, ,,Adjara“, ,,Palitra TV„Футбол 1“, ,,Obieqtivi“, „Пятница“, ,,Autdoor”, ,,Зоопарк“, ,,2X2”, ,,THT”, „TV-Channel 25“, „Fashion tv“, ,,TV 3“(Russian), ,,Iberia“, ,,Дом Кино“, ,,CTC” and „Enki-Benki.“

The Commission, during an actual review of an issue, after assuring participation of a party and examining the topic, has considered, that company has violated the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, the WIPO Copyright Treaty and the Georgian law “on Broadcasting.”  In accordance with the Commission’s decision, legal entity has been assigned to immediately stop the re-transmission of above-listed channels.
