British expert holds a masterclass for producers and editors at the Media Academy
The Media Academy of the Communications Commission has invited renowned British expert Frank Williams to Georgia to hold a two-day masterclass for media producers and editors. During the training, Mr. Williams shared his experience with the media representatives and talked about media-related challenges.
Frank Williams spent many years working for BBC World Service and Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty. He is currently heading the learning centre for media skills development in Prague.
During the two-day masterclass, Georgian producers and editors had the opportunity to learn from the experienced British expert about key media-related issues. The lecture touched upon important subjects such as the job specifics and duties of producers, the composition and characteristics of quality news and ways of delivering a high-standard product to the audience. The masterclass also addressed the issue of relevance of classic journalistic principles in the new digital media age.
Following the masterclass, producers and journalists received certificates from Frank Williams and the Media Academy representatives.
